The Question I Was Never Asked
Hello, !
My husband is very good at showing me he loves me by buying me things I struggle to keep alive.
Like a gorgeous mum three weeks ago.
That I absolutely loved.
And forgot to water.
Now it sits on my deck, reminding me that love cannot survive without at
least some water.
People sometimes see me posting on social media, creating YouTube videos, or running my own business, and think,
“She must be so organized.”
Theoretically, I can organize anything.
But without a system, I fail. Often.
Maybe you can relate—
you’re creative, intuitive, full of ideas… but structure feels like a cage.
Cold. Mechanical. Boring.
But the truth is—
systems don’t stifle creativity; they sustain it.
The best systems are flexible, simple, and protect what matters most.
They make peace possible.
They make inspiration sustainable.
My current system while growing my YouTube channel is to minimize other responsibilities.
Like plants.
(I didn’t tell my husband that—oops.)
And here’s what hit me as I stared at that wilted flower:
We get so used to asking the basic question—
“What is needed?”
But what if we took that question a step further?
What do you need to thrive?
Because that’s where everything shifts.
When you stop organizing your life just to keep up—
and start designing it to come alive.
