Time x Talent = Treasure
Hello, !
My dad taught me that not respecting someone’s time was the same as stealing food from their family’s table.
I grew up in the 80’s. Oldest daughter. There were 9 of us kids. My dad worked overtime to make ends meet, and then came home to take care of a farm, a home,
and a widowed mom.
He had a LOT of demands on his time.
So he understood the value of even a few minutes.
I’ll never forget the time a teacher at my school said, “It must be nice to be a farmer like your dad and be able to take off any time you want to go fishing.” I was flabbergasted. My dad NEVER took time off work - unless it was to do MORE work!
Ahhhh, the assumptions that people make about our lives, lol!
But, in watching all this play out while growing up, I learned a very valuable lesson -
No one will value your time more than you do.
That led me to develop the concept of
Time Dollars- learning to budget our weekly allotment of 168 hours a week in a way that gives us better and better returns on our investment.
When
done well, we make massive progress towards our goals.
When neglected - well, we overbook our time, tie ourselves down to mundane tasks, go into “time debt” and think “if only I had a better time management system, I would get more done”.
Nope.
That’s the error of most Time Management systems - they are helping you MANAGE your time better.
This is a Time VALUE system. Raise the value of your time, and you’ll raise your bank account.
168 time dollars. That’s what we get weekly - just like Monopoly when we pass go and collect $200.
Ready to use your time dollars to make your life better?
